Margaret is currently the Development Manager at First Stage Children's Theatre in Milwaukee, where her main responsibilities include the annual campaign (solicitation and stewardship of individual prospects/donors via direct mail and other vehicles) and corporate philanthropy, which entails prospect research, grant writing and stewardship. She started her professional career as a fundraiser in 1994 working for the American Red Cross but was introduced to the field as a student at U.W.-Madison working for the U.W. Foundation, where she called alumni to ask them for donations, and where she enjoyed working to further the cause of an organization that she was passionate about. This experience led her to pursue a career in development for non-profits.
