⏰ Suggested Arrival Time
- Arrive 15–30 minutes before showtime at minimum.
- 🧺 Some audience members arrive up to 1 hour early to claim a good spot.
- 🔥 Reservations fill quickly at this location—don’t delay!
🚗 Driving Directions
- Enter the park from either the S Howell Avenue in the northwest or E Oklahoma Avenue in the southeast corner.
- There is only one road through the park: Park Road.
- The performance area is visible from the road on the north side.

- Parallel parking is available along Park Road.
- 🌳 Humboldt Park is very popular and in a vibrant neighborhood, so be prepared to walk a bit from your car.
🎭 Finding the Performance Space
- Performances take place on a grassy hillside triangle on the north side of Park Road
- Located northeast of the bandshell and north of the tennis courts

- 🌤️ Sun/Shade: The seating area includes both sun and shade, with more sun earlier in the day

- A sidewalk along Park Road offers easy ADA access
- Follow the sidewalk on the east side of the street, then curve right at the tip of the triangle
- The performance area is on grass and slightly uphill
- ✅ Mobility assistance recommended for guests using wheels or walking aids

🧺 What to Expect / We're here to Help – Comfort & Amenities
The Box Office / House / Information tent is located on the Park Road edge of the 'triangle'. It will open at least one hour before the first performance. If you’ve made a reservation, stop by to be directed to your pre-selected seating space.
☀️ Sun/Shade:
This location is within a grove but shows earlier in the day will be mostly sunny, with limited natural shade. Plan accordingly!
🚻 Restrooms:
Portable restrooms are usually placed by the Parks Dept near the bandshell. Additional restrooms are available in the community center on Park Road (southeast of the performance space). Allow extra time if heading there.
🧺 Picnics:
Highly encouraged! Feel free to picnic before, during, or after performances. No picnic tables are near the performance space, but there’s plenty of grass to spread a blanket.

Optimist Theatre concessions will be available at this location. The concessions tent will open around 1:00 pm and be closed during performances.
