Tickets, Reservations, Registration?
First, the easy one. NO TICKETS are required to attend Shakespeare in the Park. It's first-come, first-served general lawn space free-for-all. That said....

RESERVATIONS:
As a perk - actually the only perk other than knowing you're helping make all this possible - you actually CAN reserve a bit of lawn to see the show. For a $75 donation per person, we will block off a generously sized, premium space to see plot of parkland. We'll hold it for you until 15 minutes before the show so you don't have to arrive early to select a premium spot. Ah! That makes two perks! Seeing more than one show? Reserve for the first one of the day and leave your lawn chair in place. Sneaky? Nah, not really. We let anyone leave their lawn chair in place if they want to see the additional shows. How many spaces? If you have a reservation, we'll mark just your lawn space. If you're attending with friends or fam, they will need to arrive early enough to plop down their lawn chairs near you. Sorry - you can't do it for them. Fair play and all that. Don't like the lawn space we selected for you? Move wherever you like. If you make a reservation, you've effectively registered too. Don't need to do it separately. So, I guess there are actually three perks to your $75 pp donation. |
REGISTER:
Registering doesn't mean you are guaranteed a bit of lawn. It does mean you'll know if anything happens that might affect the show day on the day of the show. And, it does happen! Especially in the case of inclement weather or illness. Or that impromptu car show in the Mitchell Park parking lot that forced us to cancel our shows that day. Granted, that was atypical but ... wow. We've moved on. If you register and can't make it you don't need to call and let us know. We're not holding space for you. If you register, you don't need to check in to let us know you've arrived. We're thrilled that you're going to be with us for the day but we're not checking names off a list. Registration is for a particular show date and location. It's not for a specific show when there's more than one. If you want to know about last minute changes to other show dates and locations, register again, please. With enough lead time, we'll post changes on social media and the website but we're talking about things that might happen on the same day.
