At least, we have dates for you to write in pencil. And soon, we'll have a cast!! Audition slots have all been scheduled, and from the 60± actors who will be seen, a cast will be selected by early in the new year. Those fabulous men and women will be setting aside the weekends of July 9-12, 16-19, and 22 or 23-26 (more on that later), at a minimum. If the fruits of our upcoming funding campaign enables it, we will also include the weekend of July 30-August 2. So, start planning your summer activities accordingly. We'll certainly keep you apprised as things tentative become things final.

A big Optimist Theatre "Thank You" is going out to the American Family Foundation, for your 2015 Premiere Sponsorship of Shakespeare in the Park. From AmFam's Corporate Sponsorship webpage: American Family Insurance protects dreams by helping strengthen and support individuals, families, neighborhoods and communities. Every year, our Corporate Giving Program provides more than $2.5 million in contributions and countless hours of volunteer work to nonprofit, charitable and community organizations throughout our 19 operating states. We also sponsor events and activities that build stronger ties with customers through memorable, beneficial experiences. American Family's corporate giving focuses on the areas of Human Services, through local United Way chapters and organizations like Neighborhood Housing Services, the American Red Cross and Second Harvest Foodbank; youth and education; arts and culture; and health.
Announcing Shakespeare in the Park's 2015 Performance Optimist Theatre is pleased to announce William Shakespeare's rocking and rolling comedy Optimist Theatre has been itching to produce this raucous romp in the woods for five seasons. Finally, the timing is right. The team on. Creativity is flowing.
Casting is still in the ‘DREAMing’ phase, but we’ll keep you posted. This evening, Optimist Theatre is meeting with COA Youth and Family Centers (they manage Kadish Park) and a representative from a local biking association. We're going to talk about infrastructure to Kadish Park and how to make the bike path work for everyone. Ron has done a 3D model of Shakespeare in the Park world. If we can get plans approved now, we have a real shot of making some good upgrades before the 2015 season begins. Speaking of the 2015 season, stay tuned for an announcement...
