We gained a pretty fascinating and vocal supporter this past summer. Patrick Rath, the new President and CEO of UPAF, gave Optimist shout-outs in a few of his weekly "Three Thoughts" newsletters and we were one of his 5 summer highlights...
We gained a pretty fascinating and vocal supporter this past summer. Patrick Rath, the new President and CEO of UPAF, gave Optimist shout-outs in a few of his weekly "Three Thoughts" newsletters and we were one of his 5 summer highlights...
- Optimist Theater does Shakespeare. What an amazing turnout at so many locations throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. With exceptional talent on stage and direction, this was a highlight for the summer. Optimist Theater is making a significant impact with this type of accessibility and UPAF is proud to be a part of it as well. I saw the last performance at the Marcus Center and was glad I could!

For the first time ever, we've been mentioned in one of our Donors' press releases on the philanthropic impact they are making. This was just issued from the Bradley Foundation on December 14th. Out of the 20 or so local arts orgs they support, they mentioned a grant to the Milwaukee Ballet and Optimist.
For the first time ever, we've been mentioned in one of our Donors' press releases on the philanthropic impact they are making. This was just issued from the Bradley Foundation on December 14th. Out of the 20 or so local arts orgs they support, they mentioned a grant to the Milwaukee Ballet and Optimist.
- "Optimist Theatre: $10,000 to support general operations. The Optimist Theatre’s mission is to bring Shakespeare to audiences of all backgrounds. Since 2010, it has produced Shakespeare in the Park, free productions of a Shakespearean play in green spaces throughout Milwaukee. Their 2022 season brought Twelfth Night to multiple sites around the Milwaukee area and beyond."
